A Gentle Introduction to Mediumship
Katie shares what a first mediumship reading can feel like, how she approaches it, and how to arrive with an open, grounded heart.
If you are thinking about a mediumship reading for the first time, you may feel curious, hopeful, nervous, or a little bit of everything. That is completely okay. I want you to know that you do not need to arrive with the perfect words or a certain kind of feeling. We can simply begin where you are.
My approach is gentle and grounded
When I begin a mediumship reading, I make space for it to be a quiet, personal conversation. My role is to listen closely, share what comes through with care, and give you room to take in what feels meaningful to you.
I never want a reading to make you feel pressured, frightened, or as though someone else is making choices for you. I hope you leave feeling supported, more connected to your own heart, and free to reflect in your own time.
You do not have to prepare perfectly
For a Zoom reading, find a private, comfortable place where you can settle in and speak freely. For an Email reading, you can share a little context or a simple intention if you would like to. There is no need to overthink it.
You are welcome to bring a question, a person you are thinking about, or simply an open mind. Some people come with something very specific on their hearts; others are not quite sure what they need yet. Both are welcome here.
Let it be a caring pause
More than anything, I want your reading to feel like a caring pause in a full life. It can be a moment to acknowledge what is on your heart, receive gentle perspective, and come back to yourself.
You do not have to have it all figured out before we connect. Bring your questions, your tenderness, and exactly who you are. I will meet you there with warmth and respect.
For first-time readers
A few gentle questions
What happens in a mediumship reading?
We begin with a quiet conversation and the intention you would like to bring. I share what comes through with care, and you are always welcome to pause, ask a question, or simply take a moment. There is no performance and no pressure—just a gentle space to reflect on what feels meaningful to you.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Nothing needs to be perfect. For a Zoom reading, a private, comfortable place can help you settle in. For an Email reading, you may share a little context or a simple question if you would like. You can also arrive with an open mind and let the conversation unfold from there.
What if I feel nervous or emotional?
That is completely okay. First readings can bring up a lot of feeling, and you do not need to hide any of it. We can move slowly, take a breath, or pause when you need to. My hope is that you feel respected and supported throughout our time together.
Can a reading be done by Email or Zoom?
Yes. I offer private readings by Email or Zoom only. Choose the format that feels most comfortable for you: Zoom offers a live, conversational space, while Email gives you time to read, reflect, and return to your message at your own pace.
Is mediumship right for everyone?
It is a personal choice. You do not have to believe or feel a certain way to be welcome here—curious, uncertain, and thoughtful are all valid places to begin. A reading is never a substitute for your own judgment, practical support, or important decisions; I see it as a caring space for reflection and perspective.
